About Hakeem

A smiling man sitting on a white couch with a white brick wall background, wearing a white short-sleeved polo shirt, khaki pants, and a green beanie.

Hakeem became a disciple of Jesus during his junior year of high school. In his sophomore year of college, he met his wife, Jazmon. After graduating, they married and, years later, have two children and live in the Atlanta area.

Outside of being a husband and father, Hakeem wears multiple hats. He is a biblical scholar, teacher, speaker, blogger, professor, consultant, and researcher. He holds a Master’s in Theological and Biblical Studies from Western Seminary and is a Ph.D. candidate in New Testament Studies at Ridley College (Melbourne). He previously worked as an Associate Scholar at BibleProject and is now launching a new venture, “Sacred Patterns,” to develop biblical literacy resources for children. Additionally, he serves as the chaplain for the College Park Skyhawks and as an Academic Fellow with the Center for Hebraic Thought.
